Features & Functions
The automatic connection issue may occur because, in some vehicles, the system startup is slower than the adapter’s startup.
In advanced settings, find "Startup Delay" and set the delay time to 5 seconds or 10 seconds. Then unplug and reconnect the adapter, and try connecting again.
In the advanced settings, set "Force Display" to "Yes".
To send voice commands to the wireless adapter, please follow these steps:
- Keep your phone nearby, as voice input is captured through its microphone.
- Ensure that the Voice Assistant feature is enabled on your phone. Go to Settings, search for Voice Assistant, and make sure it is turned on.
- Activate the Voice Assistant by calling the wake-up command and setting up your voiceprint if prompted.
Once these steps are completed, you should be able to issue commands effectively.
In advanced settings, locate "Audio Delay".
A smaller value increases the synchronization between audio and video. However, in some vehicle systems, setting the value too low may cause audio stuttering. It is recommended to adjust this setting according to your actual usage. After adjusting, unplug and reconnect the adapter, then try connecting again.
In advanced settings, select “Audio Stream Mode” and try switching between the available options.
Compatibility
This Apple Wireless CarPlay adapter is compatible with iPhone 6+ / iOS 10+ and 2016+ OEM cars. You can check the supported car models on Apple's website:
Your vehicle must support wired CarPlay first. This device is only designed to convert wired CarPlay to wireless.
This adapter only works when the factory-installed (OEM) radio supports wired CarPlay. It is not compatible with aftermarket radios.
This wireless CarPlay adapter is specifically designed for use with iPhone with iOS 10+. It is not compatible with Android phones.
Connectivity
You don’t need to unplug the adapter every time—it’s safe to leave it connected to your car’s USB port. However, if your car’s USB port continues to supply power after the engine is off (even when locked), we recommend unplugging the adapter to prevent unnecessary battery drain. Disconnecting it during long periods of non-use can also help extend its lifespan.
Our CarPlay adapter works like most Bluetooth devices (such as Bluetooth headsets) and supports pairing with only one phone at a time. If you need to switch between two phones, please follow the steps below:
- On the currently connected phone, temporarily turn off Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to disconnect it from the adapter.
- On the other phone you wish to use, turn on Bluetooth and search for a Bluetooth device name starting with “CLZ” (for example, “CLZ-Dongle-XXXX”).
- Once paired, you can use CarPlay with the newly connected phone.
This allows you to switch between phones quickly and easily.
Alternatively, there may be another way to switch devices:
On your vehicle’s screen, go to the CarPlay settings (usually found under Apps or Media settings, depending on the vehicle). You may see a list of previously connected CarPlay phones, such as iPhone 1 and iPhone 2. Simply select the phone you want to use.
1. How to Enter Advanced Settings
Step 1
Open iPhone "Settings" and go to the WiFi feature.
Step 2
Find the WiFi option starting with “CLZ” and tap to connect.

Step 4
Open Safari.
Enter 192.168.1.101 in the address bar to get into the adapter backend.
Note: Don't use other browsers for stable running.
2. Guide to Advanced Settings
Overview
Wireles Adapter System Version Info and Config Menu, Factory data reset button.
Audio Stream Mode
If there's no sound for navigation, music, or calls during CarPlay use, or if CarPlay music has noise, try changing the mode here. If there's nothing unusual, don't change it.
Startup Delay
Set the wireless adapter's startup time here. It starts right away (0 seconds) by default. You can choose a delay of up to 60 seconds. If it is necessary to manually unplug and replug the wireless adapter after the car is started for the in - vehicle system to load the adapter, you can try adjusting this parameter. Generally, the delay setting should be approximately equal to the time required for the vehicle screen to load the function icons after ignition. It is recommended to set the delayed startup time to 5 seconds or 10 seconds. (If there are no abnormalities, there is no need to modify this setting.)
Wifi Channel
Hotspot Frequency, Select the WiFi mode of your wireless adapter here.If there are compatibility problems (like the adapter disconnecting from yourphone during CarPlay), change the WiFi band here to fix it. There are 8 WiFibands in total. You might have to try them one by one to find the best one foryour car and phone versions.
Background Mode
This option is off by default. Each time the car system starts, a reminder for wireless CarPlay connection will show. Usually, keep it off. If the car screen freezes or goes black when starting wireless CarPlay, turn this option on.
GPS
GPS Synchronization Switch. Turn on the GPS sync switch, and the car's GPS info will be sent to your phone. This is an experimental feature and only supported by a few car models. If you don't need GPS sync, just turn it off. It won't affect how the wireless adapter works.
LED
Tap the button next to “Auto”, scroll down, and select “OFF” to turn off the lights. You can also choose any lighting mode you prefer. The default “Auto” mode changes the light color every 10 seconds.
Note: If you cannot find the "LED" option, you may need to refer to the "Online Updates" section to update your firmware, or contact us for help via email at: support@alltotive.com
Audio Delay
The smaller the value set in this section, the higher the degree of synchronization between the sound and the image. However, in certain in - vehicle systems, if the value is set too low, audio stuttering may occur. It is recommended that you adjust this value according to the actual situation. Under normal circumstances, there is no need to make any adjustments.
Force Display
This option is set to "Yes" by default. Turning it on lets the car system show the wireless CarPlay mode automatically. If you choose "No", the car system will show its own screen, and you'll have to manually pick the CarPlay mode. It's best to keep it on.

3. How to Perform an OTA Upgrade
Power the Wireless Adapter
During OTA upgrades, do not use the car's USB port to power the wireless adapter. The car's USB port has data transfer capabilities that may cause unknown errors or damage during the update process. (OTA updates require a power source without data functionality.)
Then, follow the instructions in the "How to Enter Advanced Settings" section to access Advanced Settings.
Online Updates
Switching and upgrading of the system version. If you encounter compatibility issues with the vehicle (such as the wireless adapter frequently disconnecting from the vehicle automatically), you can try switching to another system version here to see if the problem can be resolved. Select the version you need and click "Confirm" to start the automatic upgrade. Do not disconnect the wireless adapter's power or exit Safari during the upgrade, as this may damage the firmware.
⚠️ Note: Please ensure the wireless CarPlay adapter is connected to a stable power source, such as a 5V/1–2A power bank or a USB cable plugged into a household power outlet. This ensures the adapter remains powered during the update process. The upgrade typically takes about one minute. Wait until the page shows a completion message (you may also manually refresh the Advanced Settings page to check the status).
